Mono Block Graphite Disks |
Graphite disks especially suited for low pressure
applications.
- One-piece assembly and attached gaskets simplify installation and
reduce down-time
- Available sizes range from 0.5 to 24 inches (15 mm to
600mm)
- Available temperatures range to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (205
degrees Celsius)
MonoBloc
disks fit most applications where a graphite disk is needed.

When
using a MonoBloc disk in application:
- Vacuum supports are needed for disks rated below 22 psig (1.52
bar) and where a vacuum condition exists (Model MBV™)
- Vacuum supports not needed for sizes 0.5", .75" (15 and 20
mm)
- Temperature ranges -100 degrees Fahrenheit to 400 degrees
Fahrenheit (-73 degrees Celsius to 205 degrees Celsius)
- Armoring is recommended for all graphite disks for added safety,
easier installation and elimination of breakage during
installation
- Armor
reduces the possibility of a premature burst due to uneven or excessive
torqueing of the flange studs
- All
MB™ disks supplied with integral gaskets
- Available for installation between ANSI, DIN, AFNOR, BS and JIS
pipe flanges & located inside the bolt circle
IMMEDIATE SHIPMENT AVAILABLE.
BS&B always stocks MonoBloc
disks for 150 ANSI flange ratings in these sizes and pressures:
Stocked
Sizes: 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 inches (25,40,50,80,100,150, and 200
mm)
Stocked Burst pressures: 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 75, 100, 125,
150 psig
MB™
MonoBloc disks are available in sizes from 0.5" to 24" (15mm to 600mm)
with a temperature range to 400ºF (205º
C).

Type
AMB and AMBV (armored versions of types MB & MBV) share the above
dimensions.
Note: In
the case of the MBV disk either a dial type or a bar type vacuum support
is integrated into the disk. This will reduce the free vent area to
provide the following proportion of the internal
bone:

Bar
type vacuum supports are recommended for set pressures between 10 psig
(0.69 bar) and 22 psig (1.52 bar). Dial
type vacuum supports are recommended for set pressures up to 10 psig (0.69
bar).
Where
back pressure resistance exceeding 1 atmosphere is required, bar and dial
supports can be used. Please consult
