DETEC-SAF™ Alarm System

DETEC-SAF™ ALARM SYSTEM immediately warns of a ruptured disk or exploded vent.

The DETEC-SAF™ ALARM SYSTEM combines the Magnetic Burst Sensor (MBS) and the Burst Disk Monitor to provide continuous monitoring of rupture disk (bursting disc) or explosion vent integrity.

MBS Sensor

The MBS is a magnetically activated sensor, spot-welded to the vent or disk.

Electrical Specifications

  • The MBS meets the requirements of the IEC 144 IP67, which ensures complete protection against ingress dust and water.
  • The MBS unit is supplied with three feet of twin core PVC insulated and sheathed cable. It also is available with flexible 302 stainless steel armored lead. Armored length is three feet.

24V DC -- 300 mA
110V AC -- 60 mA
Maximum Peak Voltage Permissible:

200V AC for non-hazardous / non-critical conditions only.
Suitable for intrinsically safe power levels - max 5V -- 20 mA

Installation

The entire MBS sensor is factory installed. The sensor is also available for retro-fitting in the field. MBS for domed VENT-SAF PLUS® and for EXP/DV requires frame side installation in field.
